Mary Helen Oakes Lunceford, 89, of Covington, passed away on Sunday, February 14. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, February 18 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17 at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, James S. Lunceford; one son, James Michael Lunceford of Titusville, FL; two daughters, Marilyn Kay Moffatt of Atoka and Donna Lois Elrod of Covington; four sisters, Katherine Prevost of Vicksburg, MS, Betty Long of Florence, MS, Bernice Miller and Pearlean Cummins, both of West, MS; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Betty Lena Miller Oakes; one sister, Mildred Alexander and two brohters, John D. Oakes and Charles Phillip Oakes.
