Clifford L. Kendall, 69, retired Marine and retired college instructor, died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Covington Funeral Home Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. He was a two-term Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, an active member of Christ the Rock Church in Covington and was active with the Covington Senior Citizens Center. Mr. Kendall, the husband of Betty Jane Kendall, also leaves two daughters, Beverly Kendall and Connie Atkins, both of Covington; one son, Michael Kendall of Covington; one sister, Verna Horne of Rochelle, IL and one grandson, L. B. Atkins of Covington.
