Abbey Cross, 55, of Brighton, passed away on Friday, February 19. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, February 22 at the funeral home. She was a property manager with Maco Management. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Cross; four sons, Ernesto Byrd of Brighton, D. J. Specht of Covington, Harry Taylor of Atoka and Daitron Cross of Brighton; one daughter, Amy Cross of Millington; four sisters, Barbara Anderson of Ripley, Linda Parks, Wanda Gatlin and Gay Martin, all of Covington; one brother, Roger Gatlin of Covington and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Jewell Pruitt Gatlin and one brother, James Gatlin.
