Alma Louise Bernard, 86, died July 7, 2017.
Alma Louise Bernard was born to the late Earl Herndon and “Dinkey” Swift on August 1, 1930 in Eads, Tennessee. She accepted Christ at an early age at Morning Chapel Church in West, TN.
She primarily worked as a homemaker, taking care of her six boys and daughter; additionally being employed in an assortment of homes and taking care of kids at the house.
She was passionate about plants and flowers. All throughout her home and where she resided, you would see signs of foliage. They served as her passion and she took great pride in caring for her plants.
Most importantly, she stayed in the bible and pressed upon her kids the need to have a relationship with God. Taking every opportunity to attend church and engage in prayer and scripture reading.
She departed this life on July 7, 2017 at Baptist East Hospital. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; son, Joseph (Doris) Bernard; son, Chris Bernard; son, Mark (Tabitha) Bernard; son, Greg Bernard; son, Kenneth (Kimberly) Bernard; daughter, Tonya Bernard; 14 grandchildren, Jullian, Johnathan, DeShawn, Roy, Juacall, Joshua, Jeffrey, Jarvis, Gabrial, Jerell, Jevon, Jaden, Kenneth Jr., Kyla; and 1 great-grandchild, Emmanuel, all whom she loved dearly; sister, Amy ??, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
