Graveside services for Mrs. Lillie Lucille Briley Ward, 77, will be Friday, July 9, 1999 at 2:00 PM in Ridgecrest Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Howell officiating. Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ward died Wednesday afternoon at Laurelwood Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late James J. Briley, Sr. and Willie S. Pirtle Briley and was born in Beech Bluff, TN. Mrs. Ward attended Beech Bluff School. She was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired Housekeeping Supervisor with Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ward, and a sister Marcella Wooley.

Survivors include one son, Bobby Eugene Mayo, Sr. and wife Anne of Pinson; a daughter, Jackie Tapley Patrick and husband Willard of Bemis; five brothers, James J. Briley, Jr. of Springville, TN, John Briley of Bemis, Jack Briley, David Briley and Gerald Briley all of Jackson; two sisters, Ella Sue Lowrance of Pinson and Nancy Knolton of McKenzie, TN;" six grandchildren, Bobby Mayo, Jr. and Lisa, James Mayo and wife Vickie, David Mayo and wife Angela, Cathy Moore, Michelle Singleton and husband Darrell and Melinda Patrick; and seven great grandchildren, Jonathan Moore, Brandon Mayo, Evan Mayo, David Mayo, Jr., Ethan Mayo, Morgan Singleton and Rachel Singleton. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 12:30 until 1:30 PM Friday.
