Doris Jean Black, 68, homemaker, died Sunday at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Covington Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. Covington Funeral has charge. She was a member of Charleston Full Gospel Church and was active in the Ft. Pillow Outreach Prison Ministry. Mrs. Black, the wife of Fredrick W. Black, also leaves five daughters, Kathy Diener of Effingtham, IL, Wanda Ryg of Paris, TN, Patty Morgan of Peoria, IL, Ina Gundersen and Becky J. Black, both of Paris, TN; three sons, Stanley Morgan of Shirley, IL, Charles Baty of Camden, TN, and Tom Picton of Peoria, IL; two sisters, Julie Compton and Evelyn Dean, both of Danville, IL; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
