Bobby Mayfield, 75, of Covington, self-employed electrician, passed away on Sunday, August 19. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21 at the funeral home. He is survived by two sons, Kelly Mayfield of Covington and Scott Mayfield of Burlison; his wife, Jane Mayfield of Covington; three brothers, Jerry Mayfield of Destin, FL; Wayne Mayfield and Dale Mayfield, both of Covington; one sister, June Mayfield of Covington and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, J. B. Mayfield and one sister, JoAn Mayfield. The family requests that any memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
