Bobby Gene Ward, 66, self-employed carpenter, passed away on Thursday, September 8 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 10 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, September 9 at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Lavelle Ward; three sons, Robert Ward of Shreveport, LA, Richard Ward and Phillip Ward, both of Montgomery, AL; two grandsons; two granddaughters; two sisters, Kathy Day of Arkansas and Evelyn Shinault of Michigan; one brother, Jackie Ward of Halls; two step-daughters, Deborah Lavelle and Christie Wilkins and two stepsons, Randy Glover and Kenneth Glover.
