September 22, 1924 - October 25, 2017
Mr. Peyton Enoch Smith, 93 of Covington, passed away on October 25, 2017. Mr. Smith was a carpenter, farmer, truckdriver, and World War II Air Force Veteran, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Covington.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mazie Whitson Smith of Covington; his sons, Jeffrey Enoch Smith (Phyllis) and Peyton Jonathan Smith (Felicia); his two grandchildren, Scott Smith and Stacey (Kevin) Clements; four great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
The services for Mr. Smith will be held on Saturday, October 28, at 11 AM at the Maley-Yarbrough Chapel. Visitation will take place Friday night from 6-8. Interment will follow in R.H. Munford Cemetery.
