Ruey Guy Smith, 76, of Munford, retired butcher with Armour Meat Packing, passed away on Tuesday, March 10 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 14 at the Covington Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 13 at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mae Smith; three daughters, Thelma Louise McFeron of Munford, Shirley Dyan Cato of Burlison and Donna Lynn Milton of Quito; five sons, David Earl Smith of Garland, Gary Gene Smith of Alamo, Perry Dale Smith of Brighton, Daniel Guy Smith of Munford and Richard Norman Smith of Brighton; two sisters, Peggy Anne Cullum of Ripley and Imogene Edwards of Jefferson City, MO; 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
