"Roxie Godwin was my grandmother. There are errors on her tombstone. Her year of birth was 1881, not 1861 and her middle initial is C. (for Clairinde), not E as shown. Unfortunately, no one checked her tombstone after it was made." Her first husband was Christopher Columbus Alexander. Her maiden name was English and her parents were Sarah E. (Hill) English and William Isaac English. She also had a daughter, Arntie Mae Alexander Helton, 1903-1957. Source: Anna Walters
