*Obituary
Mr. Pink E. Farrar died at his home in West Fayetteville Wednesday, May 2, 1917, of cancer of the stomach. He was born October 22, 1850, and was therefore 66 years, 6 months and 10 days old. He was born and reared in Lincoln County and his life has been spent among this people. There was not a resident who had to a fuller degree the confidence of his fellow men, his life was an epistle to be read by all and it testified to his inflexible integrity and his high ideals of citizenship. He was for years a member of the Methodist church and having lived righteously, we know that death to him was only the gateway to a more glorious existance. Funeral services were conducted by Revs. Beasley and Dixon, burial at Shiloh. Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. D. F. Harrison, Altus, Oklahoma, Mrs. Eugene Stewart, Mrs. Eugene Clark, and Miss Myrtle Farrar.
