Dorothy Griffith Owens, 93, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, in a local health care facility.
She was a member of the Mile Straight Baptist Church, and a member of the Golden Agers and Ladies Bible Class.
She was preceded in death by Estill L. Griffith and Horace Owens; three children, Estill Griffith, Marion Jo Smith and Tommy Griffith and grandson, Rick Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana "Garland" Johnson of Soddy-Daisy; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at Mile Straight Baptist Church with Dr. Albert Goss and Dr. Thomas D. Goss officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Williamson & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
