"Forever in our hearts"

Marjorie Masterson Hammons, 80, of Hixson, died on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at a local healthcare facility.
Ms. Hammons was a pioneer of Chattanooga and was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe "Buck" and Altie May Masterson; son, Terry D. Messer; several brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her son, Vincent Messer Jr. of Hixson; daughters, Brenda Moore of Ringgold, Ga., Shirley Krause of Chattanooga, Pamela Stieg of Soddy Daisy; long time companion, Johnny Green; sister, Marlene Harbin of Ashville, N.C.; brother, Milton Masterson of Hixson; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robert Pace officiating.
Interment will follow in Dividing Ridge Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Williamson & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
