James A. Hicks, D.O., of Signal Mountain, died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at his home.
He was a graduate of Still Osteopathic School and was a registered certified anesthesiologist. He attended Mountain Creek Church of Christ. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Cewilla Hicks; son, James A. Hicks Jr., Signal Mountain; daughter, Rebecca Ann Obert-Hong, M.D.; son-in-law, John M. Obert-Hong, M.D., J.D.; and granddaughter, Christine Obert-Hong, all of Chicago, Ill.; sisters, Mildred Irene Acklen, Nashville, Tenn., and Willie O'Neal, Soddy-Daisy; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lane-Coulter Chapel, with Minister Eddie Reachard officiating.
Interment will be in Sawyer Cemetery.
