John A. Doss, 88, died on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004.
He was preceded in death by mother, Lucinda Doss; father, Calvin Doss; granddaughters, Alisa Kay Doss and Theresa Doss Light.
Mr. Doss was an active member of the Lake Hills Church of God and was retired from the Pro Golf Company. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Freeman Doss; son, John Allen and wife Joyce of Carrrollton, GA; son, Bobby Ray and wife Linda Doss of Corpus Christi, TX; daughter, Kathy Doss Smith and husband Walt of Carrollton, TX; daughter, Sandra Hodge and husband, Doug; son, Mark Doss; daughters, Trudy Towe, Tammy Gables and husband, Steve, all of Chattanooga; brother, Willis Doss of Pine Grove, PA; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at Lake Hills Church of God with the Rev. Joseph Hodges officiating.
Interment will follow in Gray Cemetery in Bakewell, TN.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Dorothy Nell Doss, 94, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away March 1, 2017. She was a member of the East Daisy Church of God. Dorothy had worked in food service at City High School and in her later years, she was a private sitter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Doss; two granddaughters, Alisa K. Doss and Theresa K. Light along with a brother and several sisters.
She is survived by her children, John A. (Joyce) Doss, Bobby R. (Linda) Doss, Sandra (Gerald) Hodge, Trudy Towe, Mark J. Doss, Kathy (Walt) Smith and Tammy (Steve) Gables; twenty three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Patricia Meroney and Mona Millard for all the love and care they provided to their mother.
Services will be 2:00 Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Mulkey and Rev. Jackie Penney officiating. Burial will follow in Gray Cemetery. Visitation is 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
