Ruth Evelyn "Doodle" Garrison, 58, a lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy, died on Friday, June 3, 2005.
Doodle was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Hazel Jett; two brothers, Bill and Joseph Jett; and one sister, Flora Branum.
She is survived by her companion of 15 years, Joe Buckner; her 11 year-old great-great-niece, Michelle Payne; and three sisters, Catherine Lee, of Decatur, TN, Charlotte Branum, of Soddy-Daisy, and Elma Jett, of Dallas, TX. Doodle had no children of her own but is deeply loved as a mom by all of her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-greatnieces and great-great-nephews.
Services will be Monday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Williamson and Sons Funeral Home with Brother Vernon Sneed officiating. Interment will follow in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery on Dallas Hollow Road.
Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy.
