*Obituary:
Elizabeth Irene Spencer, 55, of Hixson, passed away on April 8, 2009, at a local hospital. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed making straw hats for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Goldie Potter, and a brother, Johnny Potter.
She is survived by sons; Nick (Julie) Spencer, and Gregory (Billie) Spencer of Hixson; brother, Junior (Sharon) Potter of Hixson; grandchildren, Blake, Nicholas, and Baileigh Spencer, Taylor Henley, Tyler Filyew, and Austin Gill of Hixson; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Paul Brazzell, and Lois Lewis, of Hixson.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 11, 2009, in the funeral home chapel with Revs. Mike Combs and Carl Hunsucker officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2-9 P.M. Friday, April 10, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church in Elizabeth’s name: 7226 Moses Road, Hixson, TN 37343. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
