Rubin Worthington Brown was the son of James Roberson & Martha Emaline Sampson Brown. He was born 1843 and died between 1887-1890 in Bledsoe County, Tennessee. R. W. Brown served in the 2nd East Tennessee Calvary (C.S.A.) from July 6,1861 to 1864. He had six children: James Robert Brown, Sarah A. N. Brown, William Brown, Samuel Franklin Brown, Ethel Bell Brown and Margaret Maggie Brown.
