James brought his family from South Carolina to Tennessee. He changed the spelling of the family name from Shed to Sheid. He and his wife, Sibbel raised a large family in Tennessee and later James' father and mother came to live with them. Several of their children relocated to Texas and raised cattle. One of their son's changed the spelling again to Shead.
The cemetery location is 3.5 Miles S of Hillsboro on HY 41 turn L on Goodwin RD. Cemetery on Right in a cow pasture. Can be seen from the road.
