Altamont resident Leo Bess Jr., 61, died March 22.
The owner of Bess' Garage and a member of Altamont Church of God and assistant pastor and Sunday School teacher of Amazing Grace Chapel in Altamont, he was the son of the late Leo and Burton Smartt Bess.
He is survived by his wife, Pam King Bess; and sister, Berta Roberts of Irving College.
Services were held Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home in Altamont with Billy Joe Hobbs, Wayne Norris, Don Hill, George Roberts and Dr. Byron Harbolt officiating. Burial followed at Bess-Whitman-King Cemetery.
Layne Funeral Home of Altamont was in charge of arrangements.
