John Barton Wilson, age 84, of Bristol, TN passed away on July 1, 2006 at Life Care Center in Gray, TN. He was born in Johnson County, TN a son to the late William and Dottie Arnold Wilson. He had been in Bristol since 1943 and was a retired machinist at Raytheon. Mr. Wilson was a member of Center View Church of Christ and along with his parents was preceded in death by his wife Burlie Wilson, brothers – Wayne Wilson, Jack Wilson, Howard Wilson, Paul Wilson, Harry Wilson, and a sister Ora Tester. He was a Untied States Army Veteran.

Survivors include: Daughter – Donna Scott and husband Roger of Blountville, TN

Sister – Ruby Moody of Mountain City

Brothers – Wayne Wilson of Los Alamos, NM

Jack Wilson of Colorado Springs, CO

Grandsons – Rusty Scott and Jonathan Scott

Special Sister-in-law – Dorothy Wilson of Bristol, TN

Special Friend – Wilene White of Kingsport

Several Nieces and Nephews

Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 1:30 pm in the Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Clay Austin and Rev. Pete Booher officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm at Weaver Funeral Home. Those desiring may make memorials to the First Baptist Church of Blountville at 3358 Highway 126, Blountville, TN 37617.
