1932 - December 17, 2003
Charles Wayne Brooks, age 71, went to be with the Lord Wednesday,
Dec. 17, 2003, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Johnson County, Tenn., son of the late Harm and Blanche Watson Brooks. He was a retired court director for the State of Virginia, serving in the 28th District. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Clark Brooks; daughter, Robin Brooks
Schoenhardt of Bristol Tennessee; son, Stephen C. Brooks of Crestwood, Ky.; sister, Mary Hensley of Mountain City, Tenn.; brother, Earnest Brooks of Bristol Tennessee, and grandchildren, Beau Daniel Banks, Collin P. Brooks and Lacey Brooks.
Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m. Saturday in Weaver Funeral Home
Chapel, with Dr. Austin Cook officiating. Entombment will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel. Honorary pallbearers: Jim Sisk, George Price, Jack Boyer, Don Bennett, Glen Long, Dave Canter, David Shortt, Ralph Branch and the Men's Prayer Group at Victory Baptist Church.
