November 23, 1956 - June 23, 2010
Michael A. Helbert Sr., age 54, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at VCU Hospital in Richmond, Va. He was born Nov. 23, 1956, to the late Robert Leonard Helbert and Madeline Sue Lambert Helbert. Michael had lived most of his life in the Bristol area.
Survivors include sons, Michael A. Helbert Jr., and Josh Helbert and wife, Carol; sisters, Linda Oliver and husband, Jeff, Rita Helbert, and Martha Depew and husband, Harold; brothers, Danny Helbert and wife, Linda, Beverly Helbert and wife, Norma, Charles Helbert, and Jimmy Helbert; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010, from the Glenwood Cemetery Mausoleum with the Rev. Jackie Cox officiating. Entombment will follow. Pallbearers will be Eric Ables, Harold DePew, Danny Trivett, Curtis Chatman, Gerald Helbert, and Ronald Chatman. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Sullivan and Christopher Helbert.
