Patrick W. Minervini, age 88 of Kingsport, entered into rest on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Asbury Place. Mr. Minervini was a native of Hoboken, New Jersey and the son of the late Joseph Dominick and Corsignana Louise Minervini. He was retired form the United States Postal Service and attended Crossroads Methodist Church. Mr. Minervini proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during WWII. Patrick was in the CCC prior to entering the U.S. Naval Forces. He was proud of being in the CCC and serving his country. He often spoke of the great milestones. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Vera McCoy Minervini, and seven brothers and sisters. Survivors include two brothers: Michael Minervini Brooktown, N.J.and Anthony Minervini of New Port Richey, Fl.; one sister, Dora Lucev of Hallandale, Fl.; along with several nieces and nephews; a special friend and care giver, Mark W. Anderson. A Celebration of Life Service for Patrick W. Minervini will be conducted on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Lantz officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park with military honors.
