May 18, 1951 - June 10, 2011
Lloyd Moody Rutledge, Jr., age 60, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 10, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer. He was a lifelong resident of Bluff City. He owned and operated Rutledge Concrete for 37 years and he served in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd Moody Rutledge, Sr. and Mary Lee Rutledge and one sister, Betty Lou Rosenbalm. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Linda Kay Rutledge, sons: Ben Rutledge and wife Teresa, of Bristol, Tom Luchini and wife Debbie, daughters: April Balthis and husband Kevin, Lisa Rutledge, sisters: EmmaLee Large and husband George, brother: Edward Rutledge and wife Vickie, and his four special angels: MaKayla Rutledge, Alexis Balthis, Austin Balthis, and Ryan Rutledge, and Several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Brother R. Dayton Lewis and Brother Darrell Bewley officiating. The committal will follow in Sunrise Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Bristol V.F.W. Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Brad Buchanan, Bill McClain, Glen McClain, Jeff Rust, James Holt and Jackie Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Davis and drivers from BP and G Materials.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to say a special thanks to Wellmont Hospice and to Caregivers Regina and Mike.
