Charles F. Kirkpatrick, Jr., age 79, of Bluff City, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 20, 2005. He was a son of the late Charles F., Sr. and Ada Chestnut Kirkpatrick.

Charles was an Army Veteran having served in World War II. He had also been a Little League Coach for many years. He was a member of the Zolliecoffer Masonic Lodge #444 in Bluff City, a member of the VFW Post in Bluff City, and a member of Bluff City Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Kirkpatrick.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sue Kirkpatrick of the home; his son, Charles Dennis Kirkpatrick and wife, Debra, of Piney Flats, TN; his daughter, Rhonda Duncan and husband, Rick, of Gray, TN; four grandchildren, Angie Gillis, Wes Duncan, Kimberly Bach, and Charles Kevin Kirkpatrick; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; a brother, Calvin "Bud" Kirkpatrick of Bluff City; Sisters, Catherine "Sis" Kaylor of Bluff City, Mary Durham of Bluff City, and Betty Hopkins of Burlington, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at the Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City Chapel, with Dr. Joe Blankenship, Pastor Westley Duncan, and Mr. Kevin Kirkpatrick officiating. Masonic rites will be performed by the Zollicoffer Masonic Lodge #444. Music will be under the direction of Ken Riffe, soloist, and Betty Carrier, pianist. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday in the Sunrise Cemetery with military honors being performed by the Patton Crosswhite VFW Post #6975. Active pallbearers will be Mike Carrier, Dr. Jack Presnell, Charles Kevin Kirkpatrick, Westley Duncan, Jack Malone, II, and Curtis Harkleroad. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Malone, Travis Stark, Don O'Brian, and the Deacons of Bluff City Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday prior to the service, or at the home other times.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Kirkpatrick to the Bluff City Baptist Church, 244 Bluff City Hwy, Bluff City, TN, 37618, or to the Diabetes Center of Northeast Tennessee, 401 Princeton Rd, Johnson City, TN 37601.
