Teddy Theodore "Ted" Crumley, Jr., age 53, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 29, 2010 at home. He was a life long resident of Bluff City and a son of Theodore "Dock" and Fairy Viola Crumley. He was retired from the Tennessee State Highway Department. Mr. Crumley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sarah and Jake Crumley and Walter and Ada Morrell. Survivors include his wife, Reta Faye Crumley of the home; one son, Daniel Crumley and wife, Jennifer of Summerville, SC; four daughters, Kim Tesnear and husband Major of Church Hill, TN, Amber Crumley of Augusta, GA, Brandi Fields and husband Michael of Mt. Carmel, TN and Kathy Jo Farmer of Erwin, TN; nine grandchildren, Isaac Ringley, Dena, Kellie and Tylar Tesnear, Kayla and Hailey Crumley, Cole Ruth, Keylynn Phipps and Ashyr Stephenson; a special little buddy, Ty Tipton; three sisters, Doris Offield and husband Dewey "Eddie", Barbara Cox and partner Charles Whiteaker, Jr. and Judy Malone and partner Ed Walker. Several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles also survive.
The funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 P.M., Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Tetrick Funeral Home – Bluff City Chapel with Rev. Mike Pope officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Thursday prior to the service in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home. Friends may also call at 223 Harkleroad Road, Bluff City at any time. The graveside and interment will be at ll:00 A.M., Friday at Sunrise Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Isaac Ringley, Lance Offield, Ricky Offield, Chris Trent, Joe Cox and Jay Currin. Honorary pallbearers will be Dillard Richmond and Brandon Joe Rice. Minister, pallbearers, family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent electronically to the family by visiting www.tetrickfunerahome.com and signing the guestbook.
