Obituary for Howard Lewis Wyatt
Howard Lewis Wyatt, 76, of Bristol, Tennessee, died on Friday, November 12, 2010 at his home. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal. He was a former employee of Burlington Industries and Bristol Metals and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening, hunting and fishing. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, The family will receive friends 5 until 6:45 Sunday evening at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 7 o’clock Sunday evening in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bobby Burrow officiating. The committal service and interment will begin at 11 o’clock Monday morning in Sunrise Cemetery. The family extends a special thank you to Wellmont Hospice and Amy Feathers for their special and loving care. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be sent to Beaverview Baptist Church, 139 Beaverview Drive, Bristol, VA 24201. Mary Sue Wyatt; two daughters, Joyce Church and her husband Chris and Sherry Vance and her husband Mike; one granddaughter, Autumn Ervin; three grandsons, Jamie Church, Justin Vance and Blake Vance; one great grandchild, Evan Vance; two sisters, Mary Moore and Virginia Sanders; five brothers, Roy Stone, Garland Stone, Jerry Stone, Archie Stone, and Frank Kitzmiller. He was preceded in death by his mother, Flora Stone, and a sister, Betty Stone.
