Raymond Kenneth "Leroy" Humphrey, 53, 441 Sells Road, Bluff City, died Friday, October 19, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Humphrey was a lifelong resident of Bluff City. He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, and was a member of the Zollicoffer Masonic Lodge #444 of Bluff City with 21 years of service. He was a mechanic with the Sullivan County Department of Education with 17 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila R. Humphrey; a daughter, Kimberly R. Humphrey, Bristol; a grandson, Zachary Tuggle, Bristol; a granddaughter, Stormie Tuggle, Bristol; four brothers, James Olin Humphrey, Arthur Humphrey and John David Humphrey, all of Bristol, and James Carr, Piney Flats; and three sisters, Ruth Shepherd, Bristol, Va., Elizabeth Delaney, Bristol, and Mae Street, Bakersville, N.C. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Raymond Kenneth "Leroy" Humphrey, 53, 441 Sells Road, Bluff City, who died Friday, October 19, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, October 21, from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Shinault officiating. A Masonic Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. by the Zollicoffer Masonic Lodge #444. The committal will be at 11 a.m. Monday, October 22, at Sunrise Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be J.W. Hilton, Jay Greear, Marvin Hyatt, Clarence Blackburn, Howard Oliver, Gordon Hughes, Jim Leonard and Ed Eades. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Taylor, Joy Vaughn, Kathy Ketron and the ladies of the Sullivan County Credit Union. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Weaver Funeral Home. Weaver Funeral Home, 630 Locust Street, Bristol, is in charge of arrangements.
