Mr. Gross, 42, of Highland Drive, Bluff City, Tennessee, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area, was former head mechanic with the City of Bristol, Tenn., with 19 years of service. He was a member of the Blessed Redeemer Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Vickie Lynn Smith Gross; two daughters, Tracy Michelle Gross and April Denise Gross, both of the home; brother: Jeffrey L. Gross, Sr., Bristol, TN; sister: Linda Gross Fleenor, Bluff City, TN; parents: Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Gross, Bluff City, TN; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services for Eddie Lee Gross will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Sproles and Rev. Rodney Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey L. Gross, Jr., Frankie Smith, Charles Smith, Sr., Charles Smith, Jr., Paul W. Smith and Kelly Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Hinkle, Joey Wayne Fleenor and Ed Brooks. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Weaver Funeral Home or any time at his brother's residence, Bristol, TN.
