The National Park records list this cemetery as the Chilhowee Cemetery. This can be confusing as there is a Chilhowee Cemetery located on Happy Valley Road outside the Park boundary. There are only two markers that remain bearing inscriptions. There are several unmarked fieldstones and it is said that Joshua Parsons was buried here. Locally the cemetery is known as the Ghormley or Parsons - Ghormley Cemetery.
