Per his obit:
He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Francis and Violet Coughlin, and mother and stepfather, Ida and James Schaeffer. He is survived by his sons, James Coughlin and Jerry Coughlin, both of Lakeland; daughter, Tracy Ann Coughlin, Joelton, Tenn.; brothers, Charles Coughlin, Indianapolis, and Alan Coughlin and Robert Coughlin, both of Chicago; sisters, Elizabeth Duncan, Christine Ogden, Bonnie Waterman and Patricia Wilkomer, all of Chicago; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
