April 11, 1918 - April 6, 2010
Per his obit:
He began naval air training at the U.S. Naval Air Station at Pensacola, Fl., graduating Nov. 26, 1942 as Ensign USNR. During the war he flew naval transport aircraft in the Pacific Theater. On Nov. 2, 1946 he received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his father, George William Fillauer; his mother, Marie Millonig Fillauer; and his brother, Carlton Fillauer. He is survived by his sister, Rita Kerr of Lookout Mountain, her husband, George Kerr; nephews, Karl Fillauer, Dr. Mel Wilcox, of Birmingham, Al.; nieces, Melanie Landers, of Birmingham, Debbie Tillar, of Chattanooga, Kathy Brooks, of Signal Mountain, Terri Baker, of Sarasota, Fl.; sister-in-law, Betty Fillauer, of Signal Mountain.
