Clarence Elmer Cranfield, 63, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at the family residence.

He was a cabinet maker with Collegedale Case Works for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie A. Cranfield; son, Edward Cranfield; and sisters: Lovetta Clonts and Sandra Davis.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Shirley Davis Cranfield; mother, Mary Cranfield, both of Cleveland; children and spouses: Tim and Crystal Cranfield of Cleveland, Karla and Tim Reid of Cohutta, Ga., and Karen and Tony Weaver of Cleveland; seven grandchildren: Coty Cranfield and Rachal, Talyr Alexander, Casey Caldwell, Madison Reid, Paige Weaver, Spencer Cranfield and Alison Cranfield; one great-grandchild, Zachary Cranfield; four sisters: Brenda Cranfield of Decatur, Marchetta Scoggins and Becky Milsap, both of Cleveland, and Phyllis Davis of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Baker officiating.

Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery in Soddy Daisy.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
