Floyd Lamar Lasley, 74, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Audrey Lasley, and grandparents, Verner and Iva Petty.
He is survived by his daughter, Tami Lowder; brother, Mark Lasley; sister, Drucilla Trent; granddaughter, Megan (John) Stutz; great granddaughters, Elle and Kendall Stutz; nieces, Sebrena (Noel) Adams, and Valerie O’Neil.
Lamar was a multifaceted man who served as a Church of God Minister for many years. During his life, he was the drummer in the Soddy Daisy High School band, and he was a Golden Gloves champion, politician, and an award winning vocal soloist as well as a multi-instrumentalist with the guitar being his preferred instrument.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 15, 2018, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Dividing Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Sunday, January 14, at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
