Our Loving Dad

Willis Dye Jr., 81, a lifelong resident of Signal Mountain, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at Memorial Hospital. Born on March 25, 1929, he was preceded in death by his wife, Madelyn Dye and his parents, Emma and Willis Dye Sr. along with two brothers and two sisters.
Willis was a coal miner for 40 years.
He is survived by 11 children, George Dye, Margerie Wolfe and Jimmy Dye, all of Chattanooga, Robert Dye, of Indiana, Jane Dye of Texas, Wayne Dye and Debra Goins, both of Chattanooga, Karen Dye, of Pikeville, Thomas Dye, Carl Dye and Tim Dye, all of Chattanooga; brother, Aubry Dye and sister, Cora Lea Skiles along with 38 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in Sawyer Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
