Charles Edward “Charlie” Sanders, Sr., 75, of Falling Water, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022. He was of the Church of God faith. Charlie was a saddle builder for 47 years for American Saddle Company. He liked to work on cars and worked hard for his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sanders; parents, Pascal and Georgia Sanders; brothers and sisters, Earnestine Wilbanks, Genival Pickett, Marvin Kenner, Billy Gene Sanders, Maxie Nichols and Troyce Dye.

Survivors are his children, Charles Edward Sanders, Jr., Betty Lawson (Winston) and Rhonda Smith (Greg) and Bryanna King (Daniel); grandchildren, Christina Sanders, Charles Edward Sanders, III, Zoey Sanders, Joey Lawson, Daniel Lawson and Kevin Lawson, Casey Smith, Joey Lawson (Cassie), Aicyus Jackson, Lilleann Lawson, Calliope Lawson, Daniel Lawson (Grace), Kevin Lawson, Noah King, Samuel Burdorf, Chloe Burdoff; great grandchildren, Jackson Sanders, Jase Sanders, Joshlyn Sanders, Paisley Sanders, Ashton Sanders, Harbor Sanders, Jacob Smith, Makynzey Smith, Kasey Smith; brothers and sisters, Carl Sanders, Linda Hudson, Carlene Moore and Pascal Sanders, Jr.

Graveside services will on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Sawyer Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Taylor officiating. There will not be a visitation.
