Mitchell Glenn Rievley Sr., 75, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003.
He was a member of Living Word Fellowship in Cleveland.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Mitchell was a 1948 Tyner High School graduate and retired from DuPont, where he worked for 35 years.
He was the son of the late Earl and Fannie Rievley and son-in-law of the late Henry and Evelyn Davis. Mitchell was the brother of the late L.E. Rievley, Arvin Rievley, and Velmont Potter.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Davis Rievley;four children, Mitchell "Glenn" Rievley Jr. and wife, Sybil, of Knoxville; Rodney "Keith" Rievley and wife, Theresa, of Harrison; Susan R. Bush and husband, Gary, of Georgetown; and Gregg Rievley and wife, Mary, of Chattanooga. He also is survived by a brother, Earl Rievley, of Harrison; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Mickey Rievley, Chad Rievley and wife, Shain, son Samuel, all of Knoxville; Phillip Rievley and wife Patricia, sons, Hunter and Hayden and daughter, Sierra of Huntsville, Ala.; Aimee Rievley and son, Xander, of Cleveland; Stephanie, Timothy, and Jonathan Rievley of Harrison; April Campbell and husband, Duane, daughter, Lydia and son, Aaron, of Georgetown; Crystal and Faith Bush of Georgetown; Joel, Rachel, Kristin, and Joseph Rievley of Chattanooga and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today, Thursday,in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Cockerham officiating.
Interment will follow in Bartlebaugh Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153.
