April 6, 1953 - June 8, 2015
Brother Danny Charles Keener, 62, of Soddy-Daisy went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 8, 2015.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Danny retired from TAG Plastic as plant manager after many years of service. He pastored several churches in the area and was currently the pastor at Hendon Baptist Church. He also founded and ministered at several prison ministries in the area over many years. Danny love to fish in his spare time, was a counselor to many people in times of need and most importantly, he was a man of God and a friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bettye Martin; father, Johnny Davis; sisters, Kathy Sunderland and Vicki Berry; brother, Don Davis; nephew, Chuck Rollins.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Keener; daughters, Crystal (Jason) Michelle Weathers of Hixson and Carla Jean Weathers of Soddy-Daisy; brother, David Scott Martin of East Ridge; sisters, Allison Collene Schmits of Soddy-Daisy, Carol Wright of Soddy-Daisy, Connie Baumann of Hixson, Sherry Grant of Soddy-Daisy and Tonya Sheets of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Lyndsey Weathers, Logan Weathers, Seth Weathers and Zachary Weathers; nephew, Anthony Martin.
The family would like to thank Danny's son in law, Jason and the members of Hendon Baptist Church for all of the love and support they have provided.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Troy Simmons and Dr. Clankston Freeman officiating.
Interment will be in Wilcoxen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12-8 PM on Tuesday and noon until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. We are going to miss you but will never forget all that you taught us. You were always a man of your word and you impacted our lives greatly. We love you, Lyndsey, Logan and Carla. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy 843-2525
