George Edwin "Red" Hill, 59, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Hill was a mechanic in the Chattanooga area for many years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eula Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hill, of Soddy-Daisy; father, Chester Hill, of Red Bank; sons, Scott Hill, of Soddy-Daisy, Daniel Hill, of Fort Myers, FL, and Brandon Hill, of Soddy-Daisy; daughter, Tracey Whittenburg, of Red Bank; brothers, Billy Ray Hill, of Chattanooga, James Hill, of Chattanooga, and Andy Hill, of Georgia; sisters, Shirley Walker, of Red Bank, Sharon Shell, of Soddy-Daisy, June Moore, of Rossville, and Barbara Brewer, of Red Bank, and grandchildren, Christopher, Cody, Kailee, Alyssa, Caleb, Karlie and Savanna.
The family would like to thank Dr. Don Ziegler and the staff of Adventa Hospice for the care and support that they provided.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Carl Hunsucker officiating.
Interment will follow in Wilcoxen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. Saturday at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home.
