Elias Ayoub, age 85, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Elias was born in Israel. He worked for the United Nations for 35 years and he retired from Mckee Foods. He was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church.

Mr. Ayoub was preceded in death by two brothers, Najib and Hasieb; sister, Hasieba; three nephews, Fouzi Ayoub, Jeries Himshawi and Simaan Doha.

Survived by his wife of 47 years, Claudine Ayoub of Chattanooga; daughter, Mouna (Emil) Ayoub of Chattanooga; son, George (Abeer) Ayoub of Chattanooga; son, Danny (Sylvia) Ayoub of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Salma Hamshawi; seven grandchildren, Elias Emil, John, Claudia, Christen, Elias George, Jessica and Andrew; nieces and nephews, Sally Damouni, Sue Ajamian, Lou Ayoub, Harry Ayoub, Yvonne Dalleh, Nadia Dalleh, Ruth Dalleh, Virginia Dalleh, Faud Himshawi, Elias Himshawi, Joseph Himshawi, Tony Himshawi, Saed Doha and Rosa Doha.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 Noon at Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev.Tony Walliser officiating. Interment will be in Silverdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. and on Saturday from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Silverdale Baptist Church, 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421.
