Thomas Edward Jinnette, 34, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005.

He was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church and the Birchwood Coon Hunters Association. He also was an assistant softball and basketball coach for the Soddy-Daisy Kids Club.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Jinnette; paternal grandfather, George Jinnette Sr.; maternal grandfather, Marion R. Brooks; uncle, Bill Brooks, and a cousin, Randall K. Nutt.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Jenkins Jinnette, of Soddy-Daisy; two daughters, Niki and Bailey Jinnette, both of Soddy-Daisy; mother, Kathy Smith, of Ooltewah; stepfather, Wayne Smith; stepmother, Vickie Jinnette; paternal grandmother, Lucille Jinette, of Harrison; maternal grandmother, Earleene Brooks Gill and Coy Gill; a brother, Matthew Smith, of Ooltewah; two sisters, Melissa Gibson, of Mary Esther, FL, and Amanda Kent, of Harrison; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral will be Saturday at noon in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Underwood officiating.

Burial will follow in Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Bryan Day, Brad Gann, Chuck Harvey, Bunk Sims, Gray White and Allen Urffer serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Homes, 894-2012.
