Civil War Confederate
April 23, 1837 - November 18, 1920
Gale Roe, one of the oldest residents of Hamilton county, died Thursday at his home in Soddy. He was 87 years of age and had lived in the Soddy community for fifty years. He was an ex-Confederate veteran and was wounded eleven times while in service. Twelve children survive. The Funeral will take place at 2 this afternoon at Blakewell.
