Mary Louise"COOKIE" Evans, 44. of Chattanooga, died Wednesday in a local hospital.

A member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late George C. Evans and the sister of the late Betty Evans.

Survivors include three daughters, Jo Ann, Jowan and Jowana Upshaw; mother, Dorothy Woods, all of Chattanooga: three sisters. Hattie Bell, Chattanooga, Georgia Jones. Fort Hood. Texas, Annie Howard, Madison, Tenn.; four brothers, James, Perry and George Evans Jr., Chattanooga, Larry Woods, Los Angeles; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at New Hope Missionary Church with the Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. The body will be at the church one hour and 30 minutes be- fore the service. Burial will be Summitt Community Cemetery. The family will as- semble at 109 E. 25th St. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home.
