TRENTON -- Charles W. Neal died Sunday, June 20, 1999, in a local hospital.
He was 67. Mr. Neal was a native of Ooltewah and had lived in Trenton for nine years.
He was retired after 45 years with BellSouth and was a member of Ooltewah Baptist Church, an Eagle Scout and a former scout leader.
Survivors include his wife, Laverne V. Neal; two sons, Robert Neal, Ooltewah, and Geoffry Neal, Trenton; a daughter, Katherine West, Trenton; a sister, Edith LaFerry, Fort Oglethorpe; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Spencer Johnson and the Rev. C. Henry Preston officiating.
Burial will be in Varnell Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
