Mitchell Lynn Martin, 54, of Birchwood, TN, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014.
He was a faithful member of Gamble Road Baptist Church. He was an employee of Adams Masonry in Chattanooga. He was a loving husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elizabeth Greene Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Martin of Birchwood, TN; four children, Angela Martin of Alaska, Jennifer Wilson and husband Brian of Harrison, TN, Amanda Norton and husband Tyler of Lamontville, TN and Nicholas “Nick” Martin of Birchwood; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Isaac, Gabriel and Abby Hurlbutt, all of Alaska, Dakota and Hunter Wilson of Harrison, TN and Kinzie and Levi Norton of Lamontville, TN; six sisters; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Josh Cornelius officiating. Interment will follow at Holder Cemetery in Birchwood, TN, with Carlos Melton, Wesley Hardin, Robert Hardin, Daniel LaTour, Dale Cross and Jerry Kennedy serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, at the funeral home and also from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, August 13 at the funeral home prior to the service.
Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
