William C. Burt age 56 a resident of Birchwood passed away Saturday June 21 2014 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Edward Estel Burt Jr. a brother Edward Earl Burt and his step father Nelson Hartsfield. He was a long time truck driver.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Teresa Gayle Burt, daughters Amanda Burt an Tammy Vann, his son Joel Bishop, daughter in law Melissa Rogers all of Birchwood, his mother Thelma Dodd Hartsville, brother Ricky Burt and his sister Denise Brooks al of California, grandchildren Briana Shahan, Ryker Shahan, Ryley Shahan and Bethany Price all of Birchwood.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2pm Wednesday at the North Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Rev. Kenneth Nope officiating. The interment will follow in the Dolly Pond Church of God cemetery with Joe Allison, Steve Allison, Randy Allison, David Bailey, Tim Watson and Jason Wyatt serving as casket bearers.
