David Alva Harris III, 18, of Hixson died on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at his home.
He was born in Chattanooga and attended Soddy-Daisy High School.
He was Baptist by faith.
Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, David Alva Harris Sr. and Ann L. Harris; maternal grandfather, Reece Petty.
He is survived by parents, David Harris Jr. of Hixson, Karen Petty Harris of Graysville; stepmother, Anita Harris of Hixson; one sister, Samantha Chastain of Graysville, Tenn.; two stepsisters, Dee Dee Milligan of Chattanooga and Summer Randolph of Hixson; grandmother, Helen Petty of Soddy-Daisy.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. James Dunn officiating.
Burial will be in the Coleman Cemetery.
Family will receive friends today after 6 p.m. and Saturday after 12 noon.
Pallbearers: Steven Vandergriff, Michael Akers, Brent Mitchell, Gene Monsoon, Andrew Shepard, Randy Lane.
Williamson and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
