Lloyd Vernon "Tash" Greene, 76, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at a local hospital.

He was an avid guitar player, pool player and gardener. He was of the Baptist faith.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson and Margaret Greene and eight brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Alice Greene; his children, Margaret and Leon Payne, Evelyn and Roger Edmondson, Elaine Greene Pressnell, William L. and Krista Greene, Patsy and Van Newsom; five sisters; one brother; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Allen Stewart and the Rev. Paul Forgey officiating.

Interment will follow in Coleman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
